"The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore."
~Psalm 121: 7-8
Charles Edward Cain, beloved son of the late Cleveland and Celeste Parham Cain, entered this world on Sunday, September 19, 1948, in Greensville County, Virginia.
Educated within the Greensville County School System, Charles embraced his faith early in life, remaining steadfast in his devotion to Christ until his passing.
Throughout his journey, Charles embarked on diverse career paths. Starting as a farm laborer in his youth, he later found solace and joy behind the wheel of a truck, traversing the roads of Northern Virginia for Beef Steak Trucking Company for many years. In his later endeavors, he lent his skills to Willie Trusty Logging, Inc. until his health declined.
In his leisure moments, Charles found comfort in the familiar scenes of Westerns and the intrigue of "In The Heat Of The Night".
Love graced Charles's life when he crossed paths with Bonnie Louise Blackwell, whom he wed and who preceded him in death. In addition to her, he was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Sandra Powell Wyche; brothers Nathaniel Cain and James Cain (Irene), and sister Cleo Adams (Lester).
On Sunday, April 14, 2024, Charles peacefully transitioned into eternal rest, surrounded by the warmth of his family while in the comfort of his home.
Remembered as a humble and gentle giant, Charles's legacy will endure in the hearts of his surviving loved ones: his brother Joseph L. Cain (Betty); grandson Ka’Darius Powell and Travon Powell; great-granddaughter Brinkley Hariston; niece Antoinette Cain; great-niece Cherell Cain; great-great-nieces Arianna and Zayla Cain; great-nephew Zi’yon Cain; step-daughter Vanessa Harrison; step-sons Donnell Powell and Edward Powell (Shanora); sister-at-heart Virgie Deberry; and a multitude of other cherished relatives and friends.
Relatives and Friends are encouraged to visit Mr. Cain's tribute wall to share memories, extend condolences and to order floral tributes, as sentiments to the family.
